Frequently Asked Questions

When is the CBSE Class 12 result declared?

CBSE Class 12 results are typically declared in May or June, approximately 6–8 weeks after the last board examination. CBSE announces the exact date through a press release on cbse.gov.in. Results are available on cbseresults.nic.in and DigiLocker.

What is DigiLocker and is my marksheet valid from there?

DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in) is the government's secure digital document platform. CBSE-issued digital marksheets via DigiLocker are officially valid for admissions, government applications, and as proof of qualification. They carry a digital stamp and are verifiable online.

What does "Compartment" mean in CBSE results?

A Compartment result means you passed the overall examination but did not meet the passing criteria in one or two subjects. You can appear in a Compartment Examination (held 2 months later) to clear those subjects. A Compartment is not the same as failing your entire board year.
